We did something dirty today!

Today we took a mud buggy out on the south shore.   The tour goes through were Indiana Jones and Jurassic shot parts from the movies.  We also stopped at a couple of waterfalls and got to jump in!

Kauai ATV's saying is "Do something dirty!"

How to know if you are indeed in Hawaii...

1) You see chickens, roosters, and chicks EVERYWHERE.  I do mean everywhere!!! In the backyard, at the airport, at church, the beach, the Walmart parking lot.  If you don't see one blink your eyes one will be there.

2) Random ukulele playing.  Stuck in traffic=play your ukulele...sitting in your car=play your ukulele...eating Sunday lunch at a restaurant, just take out your ukulele and start playing...sitting in a parking lot...what else but you guessed it!!!=play your ukulele

There has got to be a song in this somewhere...look for the new dance...do the stoopid roostah...no doubt set to music played by a wait for it...ukulele

None of the above is an exaggeration:)

No doubt Alice in Chains lead singer Layne Staley spent time in Hawaii when he wrote the song "Rooster".

Church...Waterfall...Hanalei Beach

We visited the same church but did not get to see Craig T. Nelson this time.  Then we headed to the South Shore and stopped off at a waterfall, had lunch at the Famous Duke's, shopped Kapa'a, and headed to Hanalei Beach to check out the Polynesian Outriggers and get sun during our final days.

Rosters/chickens everywhere including the beach.  Don't you want to hear the peaceful roar of the waves with a cock-a-doodle-doo in the background.  Mahalia even had a baby chick hop on her and try and take her granola bar.

Drew Barrymore...Lighthouse

So this is Drew Barrymore's vacation home and view on Anini Beach.  We did not get to see her but we will be sure to come back and stalk (I mean walk) on this portion of the beach again.  She is one of the lead female characters in our movie.

This is the noni fruit that they make noni juice from...it smells/taste like fromunda cheese...from under your toes!!!

Captain Bronson took us on a wild ride along the Napali Coast! I do believe we could ride the bull at a rodeo...amazing views, sea turtles, spinner dolphins, and snorkled with Hawaiian piranah and other colorful tropical fish!

We saw the biggest swells and surf that we have ever seen on Hawaii and got to ride them in the zodiac! We probably have bruises on our bums!!!

One of the guys on the boat saw Will Smith last night at an ice cream shop.

Going to see the Napali coast via zodiac boat today!

Yesterday we swam with sea turtles at Anini Beach were Matt LeBlanc got married and were Drew Barrymore has a vacation home.

Ended up with the best seats for the fireworks on the island! Hung with a family from Colorado on the same journey to find the best bluff on the golf course and we managed to stay dry eluding the sprinklers'

Hiked around a golf course to above the stadium...the only place in Kauai they are shooting off fireworks!!!

Secret beach...a bit of a hike to get here but obviously worth it!
