We went parasailing from Lahaina Harbor. It was very peaceful and serene. We had a private boat and stayed up longer than most (because the company messed up). We wwere beteen the island of Lanai and the Maui mountains.
We ate at Cool Kats in Lahaina because the gave us a coupon. It was good enough. Then we went to D. T. Fleming Beach Park that had a lot of shade and crazy wind. Next we went to Kapalua Beach. It was crowded, had shade and great snorkeling. You didn't have to dive down to see everything was right below you.
Next we went and did some shopping and of course ended up at Annie's with a shave ice.
Then we scoped out the heliport for tomorrow's ride. I forgot to tell you about that hook up. We were sitting on Polo Beach and my phone rang. It was some guy from the helicopter company offering us an upgrade if we came in a day earlier. So not only were we getting $75 off the Hana/Haleakala trip now we are doing the whole island for $123 instead of $290.
Last of all we had to run to Wal-mart for milk $4.64 ($3.99 a couple of days ago). Then we could not leave! So we are stranded in the Wal-mart parking lot. Call the renter nothing can't get him. Thank the Lord again. The problem happened in the parking lot, it was cool outside 6pm, and my cousin came right over and took us to a friend of his that owns a rental co. and they opened up so we could get a vehicle. Tomorrow we will be picking up a Jeep. Our not so good rental dude, Paul, said that if we had another problem he would fully reimburse. I guess we will find out tomorrow. 3 strikes and your out Paul (flat tire because it was old and worn, rained in the car because the windshield was put on with road tar, and the car would not reverse or drive).
Pictures will be posted later. Mahalo for reading the blog! Aloha!!!!
