Today we sailed to the island of Lanai on a catamaran with Trilogy Excursions. You must do this if you go to Hawaii. Captain Jeff (our realtor's husband) got us a 2 for 1 deal. We left from the harbor in Lahaina and immediately they began serving fresh pineapple juice, homemade cinnamon buns, fresh fruit, and wraps. Yes! It is as good as it sounds.
We docked in Lanai and were taken by vans to the only beach with running water (Hulopoe Beach ). We were given chairs and mats for tanning. We could also snorkel, go for a nature walk, and check out the Four Seasons.
We decided to snorkel first. The sights here were truly amazing. The coral and the fish are vibrant. The parrot fish is so breathtaking that it makes you wonder how anyone could look at this and not believe in God. We found another sea turtle and followed him a bit. Our Captain, Brian, said that it was rare that we saw one in that area.
Back on land, we were given homemade chips and salsa (with pineapple added YUMMY). We ventured to the nature trail and the video will show that amazing site. Hopefully the color of the water is evident.
Next, we opted for a van ride through the town. This town only has 3300 people, one school K-12 (200 kids total), one gas station, and no crime. Sounds good! A barge comes every Thursday to bring supplies to the island. There is only small markets, no McD's or the like, and
no car dealerships. If you want a car it will come on the Thursday barge.

Before we left the island they prepared a Bar B Q for us. Teriyaki chicken, pasta, field peas, and POG (passion fruit, orange, guava) to drink.
During this adventure we kept running into this couple. As we talked during dinner of our careers and hometowns we found out he was a triplet and that he was on Oprah. I immediately remembered the episode. See the link attached. It is an inspiring story, especially for those that work for the school system. We met Kenya and his wife, Tomie.
With the wind in our sails we headed into the sun set while Oren serenaded us with his ukulele.
Life is good! God is good! No worries! Aloha! 1 Chronicles 16:34
