Well everyone it is official ! We are now Hawaiian. Today while visiting the quaint town of Lahaina we received a kiss for $5 from a hawaiian man and a lei. Kalia (Avery)and Mikala (Mahalia) are our Hawaiian names now. We will have them legally changed on Friday (jk). Anywho, while in Lahaina we ate at Aloha Mixed Plate and ordered a traditional hawaiian plate lunch. It was the Alii Plate. Considered the "Royalty" of plate lunches. It consisted of Lau Lau, Kalua pig and cabbage, Lomi Lomi Salmon, Poi, macaroni salad, rice and haupia (coconut pudding). We no likey this. Salty and bizarre. Poi is like a gray baby food.
