Today we spent the afternoon on a holo holo of the area. We checked out a ride on a outrigger (polynesian canoe) for tomorrow @ 5:30am for free. Then the real estate agent's husband will be hooking us up as his guest on a trip with his sailing company to Molokini then a deal to Lanai (both islands). The blessings abound! Then we walked to the beach and went to a farmers market for some local fruit and watched some kite boarders. We got in Dusty the trusty rusty Nissan and road up the coast in search of a shave ice. We found a local area and a guy carving totem poles and other local intricacies. Then we scouted out some hawaiian eateries to check out later that have live bands at night. I forgot to mention our trip to Walmart that resulted in a $279 bill. But, we got many meals and even some local treats like sweet potato and taro chips, saloon pilot crackers,and Maui chips. We also got a grill, snorkeling gear, and meals.
Now we are going to make a salad from our farmers market items, walk to the beach, and eat dinner while we watch our first Maui sunset!
Based on the title, that's not the picture I expected at all.
